2025 Macao International Parade: Date, Time, Route, and Recommended Viewing Locations
The Macao International Parade (known as the Macao Latin City Parade before 2017) is one of Macao’s annual cultural and tourism events, starting in 2011. It is usually held on the Sunday before or on Macao’s Handover Anniversary in December. However, after a four-year hiatus, starting from 2024, the Macao Parade will be held in late March. The 2025 International Parade will take place on March 23, 2025 (Sunday).

The Macao Latin City Parade is an artistic parade centered around Macao’s Latin Quarter, with different themes each year. It invites performance teams from around the world and local groups to participate, weaving through the historic streets of Macao. Now, the Macao International Parade has become Macao’s largest annual carnival.
2025 Macao International Parade Date and Time
Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Macao International Parade has been suspended for four consecutive years since 2020. 2025 marks the second year of its revival, with the parade scheduled for late March, just like in 2024. The parade will take place on March 23, 2025 (Sunday). The parade will start at 3:00 PM, and it will take approximately 2 hours for the parade to move from the starting point to the end, with all teams completing the parade in about 3 hours.
This year’s International Parade will feature 56 local Macao teams and 23 overseas teams, totaling 79 participating groups.

2025 Macao International Parade Route and Recommended Viewing Locations
The 2025 Macao International Parade will follow the same route as last year, using the 2017-2019 plan. The starting point is the Ruins of St. Paul’s, and the endpoint, where the grand performance will take place, is the Sai Van Lake Square. The parade will pass through St. Paul’s Street, Rua dos Mercadores, Senado Square, Rua da Sé, Calçada da Sé, Avenida da Praia Grande, Avenida Panorâmica do Lago Nam Van, and finally reach Sai Van Lake Square, where the grand performance will begin at 6:30 PM.
Parade Route Map
The starting point, Ruins of St. Paul’s, is undoubtedly the best location to watch the parade, as it features the opening ceremony and performances by each team before the parade begins. However, during the Macao International Parade, countless people will flock to the Ruins of St. Paul’s, so arriving early is essential to secure a good viewing spot.

Apart from the starting point, another popular viewing location is the endpoint, Sai Van Lake Square, where performances will take place after the parade. However, this area will also be crowded.

If you prefer a more comfortable viewing experience away from the crowds, you can find an ideal spot along the route. Based on past experiences, the areas from the starting point to Calçada da Sé tend to be more crowded, while Avenida Panorâmica do Lago Nam Van is less crowded. Additionally, this year’s parade will feature art installations, interactive games, and booths along Avenida Panorâmica do Lago Nam Van and Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Avenue.
The parade teams will stop at various points along the route to perform or interact with the audience. Performance locations are usually chosen in spacious areas, such as Senado Square, Largo da Sé, the intersection of Avenida da Praia Grande and Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, Praça de Luís de Camões, and the Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre.
